HB2032 is set for hearings this Monday 5 May 2025 in Austin. John H Regan Bldg (JHR 140) currently at 0900.

Of the 1,000 bills only 5 made it to hearings and this is one of the 5! After the hearings on Monday, it will be voted forward out of committee on 5 May or killed-killed is not good. There is no formal process to appear at the hearings … you just show up. I will be there of course and we need as many disabled veterans that are less than 100% VA rated to come and tell their story about how the current property tax for them is of little value as the old law passed in 1972 has not been amended to keep up with inflation. Again, 100% disabled veterans have always received complete benefits from property taxes. I need those less than that 100% rating to speak at the hearing They give each person about 2 minutes. So it is a show of force! If you know a Vet in Austin who can support please share!!
